Coronavirus Updates

Lone Oak is closely monitoring the development of the coronavirus outbreak, CDC advice, and updates from state officials. We will be updating you below with any relevant information that affects camping at Lone Oak.

8/4/20 - Special Covid-19 Update on Travel Advisory.

Executive Order Regarding Travel: Pursuant to Governor Lamont's Executive Order No. 7III, anyone traveling into Connecticut from a state that has a new daily positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or a state with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average are directed to self-quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact within the identified state.

In addition, anyone entering from one of the identified states must fill out a travel health form upon arrival. Travelers can fill out the form online at ct.gov/travelform.

Parents: Please help keep everyone safe by making sure your kids are following all the COVID guidelines in the campground - Thank-you.

6/26/20 - Restrictions on playgrounds and more are slowly lifting.

Great news! After consulting with the Dept. of Public Health for clarification, we have opened up the playgrounds and other sport areas, with guidelines. We have signs with the guidelines at each sport area

There will be no equipment rental from the office, guests will need to bring their own equipment.

The rec hall remains closed until further notice.

What is open:

  • Playgrounds - Use at your own risk. Playgrounds are not sanitized, wear masks and practice 6' social distancing

  • Horseshoe court - Wear masks, and  practice 6' social distancing

  • Volleyball court - 2 on 2 player at one time

  • Basketball court -  2 on 2 player at one time for a half court, (up to 2 half court games at once)

  • Softball field -  wear masks and practice 6' social distancing

  • Soccer field -  wear masks and practice 6' social distancing

Security staff will be monitoring these locations for compliance to the guidelines.

No precaution is 100% guaranteed. Participants in outdoor activities should be wearing masks when within 6 feet of one another, softball, horseshoes etc 

6/17/20 - Phase 2 Reopening CT

POOL

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING Six feet social distancing must be maintained in the pool at all times and at no time shall the number of patrons allowed in the pool exceed 50% design capacity of the pool.

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING Due to the size of most hot tubs/whirlpool spas social distancing may only allow four patron use.

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING While swimming in the pool, social distancing must be maintained unless swimming with those in the same household.

  • PERSONAL PROTECTION Masks shall be worn when within six feet of those not in the same household on the pool deck.

  • NO CONTACT Prohibit the sharing of objects including goggles, nose clips, snorkels, toys and floatation devices.

  • DISTANCING MARKERS Use signage and barrier protection to limit movement and maintain distancing, and direct the flow of traffic.

OUTDOOR EVENT/BANDS (Must be approved by The Department of Public Health, Liquid Commissioner & follow Governor Lamont’s Executive Orders)

  • OUTDOOR EVENT SCOPE Individuals gathering for a defined purpose by invitation, taking place on a specific date, and within a specific range of times (e.g. starting at 6pm and ending at 10pm).

  • PHASE 2: REOPEN RULES FOR OUTDOOR EVENTS Except as otherwise prohibited, outdoor gatherings are permitted provided that any such large outdoor public gatherings shall comply with these rules and all other applicable executive orders governing conduct in public places. The maximum permitted gathering size will be updated by executive order periodically in response to current public health data.

  • PERSONAL PROTECTION All event attendees including employees, volunteers and officials shall wear a surgical style mask or other face covering (e.g. cloth mask) that completely covers the nose and mouth within 6 ft of those not in the same household, unless doing so would be contrary to his or her health or safety due to medical conditions, and except when eating.

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING Attendees shall remain six feet apart, excluding immediate family members, caretakers, and household members, and, except when dining, masks shall be worn when within six feet of those not in the same household.

  • DISTANCING MARKERS

    • Use signage and barrier protection to limit movement and maintain distancing, and direct the flow of traffic.

    • If the event is an organized gathering, the organizer shall demarcate 6 ft of spacing in the area of the gathering to demonstrate appropriate spacing for social distancing.
